I've been quilting for years and trimming HSTs was always my least favorite step until I got this ruler. The 6 1/2 inch size handles most of my blocks, and the illustrated instructions actually made the quarter triangle squares click for me. My seams line up so much cleaner now.

Squaring up my half triangle squares used to take forever with a regular ruler and I'd still end up with wobbly edges. This one lines everything up in a single cut, and I got clean 4-inch blocks on the first try. The little lip that catches the fabric edge is the part I didn't know I needed.
