ANDOVER - Dimples by Gail Kessler - Pewter

The pewter colorway is perfectly soft and neutral, sewing up beautifully in my latest lap quilt. I especially like how the subtle dimpled pattern masks minor seam imperfections.

I’ve been hunting for a background fabric that doesn’t fight the quilt blocks for attention, and this one’s subtle pattern does exactly that. It presses beautifully flat and the pewter tone adds just enough depth without feeling busy. Shelf A84 was easy to spot, too.

The dimpled texture on this pewter piece gives it such a nice tactile feel, and it’s even lighter than I expected when I picked it up. I’ve already found myself running my fingers over the surface while reading.
