The beige background is softer in person than it looks online, almost like a warm cream that pairs beautifully with brighter prints. I’ve already cut into it for a patchwork project and the 100% cotton weave is sturdy yet easy to press flat.

The blue mill pattern is crisp and cheerful against the beige, and the 44/45 inch width gave me plenty of room to fussy-cut for a quilt top. It’s sturdy but still soft after a prewash, exactly what I need for piecing.
