The braided look came together beautifully once I followed the pattern's piecing instructions for the woven effect. I love that the finished 40-inch length works perfectly for my standard dining table without hanging too far over the ends.

The 12-1/2 by 40 inch size fits my dining table perfectly, and the instructions for achieving that braided look were clear even for an intermediate sewer. I’ve already started planning a second one for a friend.

The braided look is stunning once sewn up — I used a mix of fabrics and it turned out exactly like the pattern photo. Finished size is perfect for my dining table, and the printed instructions made assembly a breeze.
