The flip-open cover on this little hummingbird is perfect for keeping the metal threader safe in my sewing kit. It's small enough to hang from my project bag with the built-in lanyard slot, which I didn't expect to use but now love.

I've been using this hummingbird threader for a few weeks now and the built-in lanyard slot makes it easy to keep on my sewing basket. The flip cover stays shut securely, protecting the metal threader when not in use.

The little flip cover actually keeps the wire from poking through my sewing box, which was a constant frustration with my old threader. The hummingbird shape is cute enough that I leave it hanging by the lanyard slot.
