I was a bit skeptical about rag quilting at first, but the template cuts down on measuring and trimming so much, I finished my first quilt in an afternoon. The layers stay put during stitching, which means no shifting or puckering.

I used this with some flannel scraps and the batting buddy template made layering a breeze. The finished quilt came out beautifully fluffy after washing, exactly what I wanted.
