KAUFMAN - Kona Cotton - Overcast

This grey has a beautiful depth that looks almost like a soft charcoal in natural light, and the fabric has a nice, substantial hand without being stiff. It pressed up perfectly for my quilt blocks and held the crease well.

Needed to replace a worn-out grey solid in my stash, and this fabric has exactly the right muted tone that works with nearly any print. The hand is soft and smooth, and it presses beautifully without any shine—a real workhorse weight. I’ll definitely use it for quilt backgrounds and simple tops.

This cotton has a nice, even weave that made it easy to cut and sew without fraying. I used it for a quilt backing and the medium-weight feel is perfect.
