Maple Island Quilts: BQ3

The 18" blocks came together so fast I had a queen-size top done in two weekends. That angled segment really makes the fabric pop without any fussy Y-seams, and the pattern's clear enough for a confident beginner.

I used the 9" blocks for a wall hanging first, and the slight angle on the center strip really made the fabric pop. The pattern instructions were clear enough that I finished the queen size in just a few weekends.

I love how the angled segment lets me showcase a focal fabric without it getting lost in the quilt top. The 9-inch blocks were perfect for a quick crib size project.
