The Square Petals pattern is just crisp enough that the black doesn't read as flat, and it's held up perfectly through a couple of prewashes without any fraying at the edges. I've already cut into it for a quilt back and the weave is nice and tight, so no shifting while I was pressing.

The 100% cotton feels sturdy without being stiff, and the black-on-black petals add just enough texture to keep it interesting. I’ve already used it in two quilt blocks and the weave stays put while sewing, no fraying mess. This one’s a keeper for darker projects.
