MAYWOOD STUDIO - Dark & Stormy - Scroll - Taupe

I was nervous the scroll print might be too busy, but the taupe background keeps it elegant and subtle—perfect for a modern quilt border. The fabric has a nice, smooth hand that didn't fray excessively when I cut it on the bias.

The taupe shade is exactly what I was hunting for—it’s warm without pulling too yellow, and the scroll motif has a lovely vintage feel that blends right into my stash. Cuts and presses like a dream for a backing piece.

The scroll pattern is crisp and clean, and the taupe shade is darker than I expected but works beautifully as a neutral in my quilt blocks. It pressed flat without any shifting or distortion, which saved me a lot of frustration.
