MODA - French General Solids - Pearl

The hand-feel on this pearl solid is lovely—smooth and tightly woven, so it held its shape beautifully through prewashing. The soft ivory tone reads as a true neutral, not stark or yellowed, which is exactly what my block backgrounds needed.

The weave on this pearl fabric is surprisingly tight and smooth, making it a joy to hand stitch. I used it for the background of a baby quilt and the subtle sheen catches the light beautifully. Exactly the soft neutral I was hoping for.

I was a bit worried the color might read too stark, but this pearl is such a gentle, creamy white that it blends beautifully with my other solids. The weave is tight and smooth, which made piecing a small quilt top a breeze without any fraying.
