I was a little nervous about buying fabric online, but the quarter-yard cuts let me test it without a big commitment. The print density on this black base is perfect for fussy-cutting the flowers, and the cotton has a nice, crisp hand for piecing.

The colors on this black background are even richer in person, and the floral scale feels just right for fussy-cutting. I bought a half yard for a quilt border and the cotton is lovely to press and stitch.

The quarter-yard cuts are nicely precise, so I could start sewing right away without trimming much. The black background makes those multicolor flowers really pop, though I wish the fabric had a bit more drape for the project I had in mind. Still, the pattern is exactly what I was looking for.
