The maple background is a perfect neutral, not too dark or light, and the fabric pressed beautifully without any fraying. I used it as the sashing in a baby quilt and it tied all the bright prints together nicely.

The print is crisp and the maple tone is deeper than most backgrounds I've tried, which really makes the lettering pop in my quilt blocks. It's got a nice tight weave that held up well through prewashing.

The colorway is a perfect neutral background—warm without being too yellow, and it blends beautifully with the alphabet prints. I've already used it for two quilt backs and it presses like a dream.
