I was a bit worried the orange would be too loud, but the Mandarin colorway is actually quite rich and warm in person. The 100% cotton feels smooth and has a nice, tight weave that should hold up well for piecing.

The mandarin colorway is even more vivid in person, and the cotton has a nice, substantial hand that holds a crease well. I've already cut into it for a quilt back and the fabric didn't fray excessively at the edges, which made the whole process smooth.
