Hannah O. ★★★★★

I’ve always been fascinated by the symbolism in quilting, and this DVD’s connection between the flying geese pattern and the Underground Railroad was exactly the historical insight I was hoping for.

David ★★★★★

The 28-minute runtime is perfect for a classroom or quiet evening, and the scenes of the geese following the waterways really drive home the journey metaphor. I’ve already watched it twice and notice new details each time.

Steven ★★★★★

Flying geese as a metaphor for the Underground Railroad is such a smart, subtle touch—it really makes those 28 minutes feel layered. The DVD-R itself played without any glitches in my player, and the imagery of the waterways is hauntingly beautiful.
