The vermicular pattern is so tightly drawn that it reads almost like a texture from a distance, which is perfect for a busy quilt backing. The black holds the color fast and the weave feels sturdy without being stiff. I've already cut into it for a border and it pressed beautifully.

The black background makes the floral pattern really pop, and the fabric has a nice, sturdy hand that held up well when I was piecing my quilt blocks. I've already ordered more for a backing because it coordinates so effortlessly with everything else in the collection.
