The weave is just tight enough to hold soft cheese curds without clogging, and the 36-inch width gave me plenty of fabric for a double layer. After washing it’s still sturdy and hasn’t frayed at all.

I needed something with a bit more structure than standard cheesecloth for straining yogurt, and this #50 weave held up perfectly without letting too much curd through. The 36-inch width gave me plenty of material to fold over a strainer basket.

The weave is noticeably tighter than standard grocery store cheesecloth, which made my ricotta come out perfectly without losing any curds. A full yard was enough for a double batch of paneer and some cold-brew coffee straining.
