The batik texture has that lovely hand-dyed depth without being stiff, which made it a dream to cut for my quilt blocks. The batik pattern has so much depth up close, the blue hyacinth shifts between indigo and soft lavender depending on the light. Cut into it for a quilt border and the hand feel is pleasantly smooth, no stiffness at all. Wish I'd ordered more yardage for my backing.
