The beige background is exactly what I hoped for — soft enough not to overpower the square flowers. It's a true 100% cotton, so it pressed beautifully without any shifting while I pieced my quilt blocks.

The 44/45 inch width gave me plenty of room to fussy-cut the square flower motifs, and the cotton's weave feels sturdy without being stiff. This beige tone is exactly what my quilt top needed, subtle enough to let the pattern shine without shouting.

The beige base is so soft and muted that it pairs perfectly with deeper greens without shouting over them. The weave is tight and smooth, easy to cut without fraying badly. I've already used a fat quarter for a border and the flower motif stays crisp after a pre-wash.
