The deep onyx tone is so rich and even across the fabric, and it pressed flat with no creases. I’m using it as a background for a quilt top, and the 44/45 inch width gives me plenty to work with. Exactly the moody, calm base I needed.

The weight of this cotton is perfect for piecing — not too flimsy, and it presses crisp without distorting. The onyx background has just enough depth to make the subtle pattern pop without being busy. I’ve already cut into it for a lap quilt and the fabric holds a crease beautifully.

The deep charcoal base with subtle geometric lines reads almost like a modern watercolor, and the hand feels smooth yet sturdy for piecing. I've already cut into half a yard for a quilt top and the edges held beautifully without fraying. Exactly the calm, tonal contrast I was hoping for.
