NORTHCOTT - Banyan Batiks - お化け屋敷 - ゴースト - ライラック - K95304-

I bought this for a Halloween quilt project and the batik technique gives the ghost print beautiful depth that solid fabrics lack. The lilac background has subtle variations that catch the light nicely.

The lilac colorway is softer and more muted than I expected, which makes the ghost print feel almost dreamy rather than spooky. It presses nicely without sticking to itself, a relief for a batik. I’m already planning a few blocks for a Halloween quilt.

The ghost print has nice sharp details against the lilac, and the batik texture gives it a subtle hand feel. I used it for a small quilted wall hanging, and the fabric held its shape well without fraying too much.
