The deep black-amethyst tones in this quilting cotton are even richer in person, and the fabric held up beautifully through a gentle pre-wash without fraying.

The batik mottling gives this quilting cotton such an organic, shadowy depth—the amethyst reads almost purple in low light. Cut and pressed beautifully for my latest quilt top, no fraying or distortion at the seams.
