I’ve made the throw size twice now and the instructions for piecing those 5-inch squares are so clear I didn’t have to rip out a single seam. The baby option would be perfect for a quick gift, but I’m already planning the bed size for my own room.

I was worried about cutting all those 5-inch squares evenly, but this pattern lays everything out so clearly that I finished my throw quilt top in a weekend. The baby size is perfect for practicing the layout before committing to the bigger bed version.

Three sizes in one pattern is such a bargain — I made the throw for my niece and the baby version for my neighbor’s shower in the same weekend. Those 5-inch squares went together so smoothly, and the instructions were clear enough that I didn’t have to call my quilt guild even once.
