I’ve made two of these patterns now, and the wool appliqué pieces press down so nicely on the flannel background. The shower cloud and raindrops in the spring design gave me a chance to try different blanket stitches too.

I love how the wool applique pieces add such nice texture against the soft flannel background, and the pattern instructions were clear enough even for a beginner like me. This April shower design will look perfect on a little stand or hanger in my sewing room.

The flannel background gives it a nice cozy feel, and the wool applique pieces are a breeze to work with. I just wish the pattern included a bit more guidance on finishing the edges for a hanger display.
