This ruler is perfect for cutting multiple layers at once on my cutting mat; the 12 1/2-inch square makes a huge difference in visibility. The glow is surprisingly effective even in dim light, helping me follow my lines precisely.

Finally, a ruler that actually stays put while I'm cutting. The glow is bright enough to see my lines even in a dim room, and the full 12 1/2 inches gives me plenty of space for quilting squares. It's made a huge difference in my accuracy.

I was skeptical about the glow feature, but it actually lights up the cutting lines clearly in dim light. The 12 1/2-inch length gives just enough extra room for squaring up fabric without being unwieldy.
