FREE SPIRIT - Augustus 2025 van Kaffe Fassett Collective - Alpines - Dark

The black and brown tones in this Alpines pattern are even richer in person—the depth of the dark colorway makes the print feel both dramatic and grounding. I’m already planning a quilt around how well the multi-toned motifs play together.

The dark colorway really makes the alpines pattern pop against the black and brown tones—it's got that moody, rich feel I was hoping for. The fabric has a nice crisp hand to it, perfect for piecing. I've already cut into it for a quilt backing and the print stays sharp even at a distance.

The dark background really makes the alpine peaks pop—I’ve already used it for two quilts and the contrast is striking. Fabric feels substantial without being stiff, which is exactly what I hoped for.
