The Quilter’s Clapper has been designed to flatten those larger areas. It is used to press seams without burning. Used with steam from your iron, press the area with the Quilter’s Clapper and hold for just a few seconds, it will leave a nice, flatten seam. The top is rounded over and smooth with a wooden knob for easy pick up. Item is unfinished to absorb the steam better. Made of Solid beech wood. Size 6 in x 6 in.

Leo ★★★★★

I quilt on a small table so I never have room for a full ironing board setup, and this clapper has basically replaced my need to hover over seams. The 6x6 size covers a whole block section in one go, and the steam plus a few seconds of pressure leaves them flat as glass.

David ★★★★★

Pressing a seam with steam and then holding this clapper down for a few seconds gives me the flattest results I've gotten without scorching anything. The 6x6 size is the sweet spot for quilt blocks, big enough to cover the whole seam at once.

Grace ★★★★★

I was skeptical that a chunk of wood would make much difference, but after one press with steam from my iron my seams were flat in seconds. The 6x6 size covers a big area so I'm not repositioning it constantly, and no scorched fabric.
