Made from Long Staple Egyptian Cotton. Ideal for detailed machine embroidery, red work, quilting, lace design and serging. This thread has really taken off with machine quilters. Long staple cotton gives this thread the strength needed for highs speed machines. Cotton Mako is also mercerized, giving it a sheen not found in most cotton threads.

Joshua ★★★★★

The 1422-yard spool feels endless, and the 50 wt weight glides through my machine for lace work without a single snap. It’s my new go-to for red work—the stitch definition is razor sharp.

Benjamin R. ★★★★★

The long staple Egyptian cotton makes this thread so smooth through my machine—no fraying or breaks even on intricate embroidery. It’s become my go-to for detailed quilting since the 50 wt glides without bulk.

Lucy X. ★★★★★

The 1422-yard spool is a workhorse—I’ve gone through three embroidery projects and the long staple Egyptian cotton hasn’t frayed or snapped once. The 50 wt weight glides through my machine for those tight lace stitches, which is exactly what I needed for red work details.
