Cotton Daisies Quilt Pattern by Karen Walker

A field of flowers like no other, Cotton Daisies has all the charm! The key for visual success is the low volume flower petals. With a slight contrast between the 2 fabrics, the petals blend but one can still see a modest difference. Too much contrast and the petals start to pinwheel. Time saving techniques to create 8 half square triangles using only 2 fabric squares and corner triangles make this quilt come together quickly. And what a great opportunity to play around with machine quilting within the open spaces! Cotton Daisies comes in 2 sizes, 45" x 45" and 45" x 63". All piecing uses traditional rotary cutting method. This is by far one of my most popular patterns!

Chloe A. ★★★★★

The way the low volume petals create that soft, blended look is just brilliant—my first block came together so cleanly. I've already started picking out my fabrics and can't wait to see the whole field of flowers emerge.

Grace V. ★★★★★

I was a little worried the low volume petals would blend together, but the instructions made it so easy to keep the contrast just right. My first block came together so cleanly I actually smiled.

Sofia ★★★★★

The contrast between those two fabrics is so subtle that the flowers almost breathe on the fabric, and the low-volume petals keep it from feeling busy. I’ve already got it pinned up in my sewing room, and it’s making me want to start the quilt tonight.
