The Elevated Abstractions: Desert Mirage Quilt - a Foundation Paper Piecing Project by Violet Craft. Modeled after the Transverse Mountain range, it rises up from the horizon of the quilt like a shimmery, reflective mirage. Each half of the quilt uses the warm and cool color ways from Palm Canyon and the coordinating fabric bundle. To finish the quilt, elements from the Range print have been fussy cut and appliqued onto the quilt. 44 x 60 with sizing instructions up to king.

Lucy ★★★★★

The foundation paper piecing sections are so well-designed that the mountains really pop off the background fabric. I’ve only made one block so far, but the precision is incredible.

Hannah T. ★★★★★

The paper piecing sections are so well-designed that the peaks really do shimmer like a desert mirage. I’ve already started a second one for a gift because the pattern is that much fun to follow.

Joseph ★★★★★

The way the mountains layer up from the horizon is pure magic—each paper-pieced section locks together so cleanly that even my tricky angles came out crisp. I’ve already got this one on my wall, it’s that satisfying to see it rise.
