The cut arrived true to the 1 1/2-yard size, and the batik's blue has such a lovely hand-stitched depth to it that it feels more like a vintage find than new yardage. I've already pulled it for a border and the color plays beautifully with cream solids.

The hand-dyed blue gradations are so rich and even I'm already planning my next quilt around them. At 1½ yards it's a generous cut for borders or backing, and the fabric has a lovely soft hand without being flimsy.
