Fusing the 1.5 inch squares and folding them over made my watercolor quilt way easier than cutting individual triangles. The X-to-X stitching lines for the half-square triangles are marked clearly, so I didn't have to guess where to sew. My points actually lined up for once.

I was nervous about tiny pixel squares but the X-to-X sewing lines made the half-square triangles almost foolproof. Fusing the squares first kept everything from shifting, and the watercolor effect actually looks intentional instead of messy.

I've made three pixel quilts with this panel now and the fold-and-sew X to X lines make half-square triangles so much faster than marking each one. The grid stays put while you fuse, and the panels hold up fine to being reused a few times.
