BENARTEX - Sweet Gingham by Benartex Studios - 方格布 - 河流

The weave on this cotton is dense enough that my rotary cutter glides through without any fraying, which is a huge relief for a quilting project. The river blue has a soft, slightly muted tone that photographs beautifully, and I've already used it in two different blocks.

The gingham pattern is perfectly crisp on this cotton, and it held up beautifully through prewashing without any fraying. The hand feel is smooth yet sturdy, just right for piecing. I'm already planning a second yard for a matching throw pillow.

I needed a soft cotton for a baby quilt and this gingham washed up beautifully with almost no shrinkage. The river blue is exactly that calm, classic shade I was hoping for.
