I was thrilled with how fast the layout came together once I started framing those half square triangles. The windblown pinwheel effect is so satisfying to watch emerge as you play with color placement.

I love how the pattern uses fat quarters and fat eighths so flexibly—makes the project feel less intimidating and more doable. The half-square triangles came together cleanly with the clear cutting diagrams.

The half square triangle construction is straightforward enough, but I found the instructions for framing and rotating the blocks a bit confusing on the first read. Finished top looks nice, just took me longer than expected.
