I was a little worried the low volume petals would blend together, but the instructions made it so easy to keep the contrast just right. My first block came together so cleanly I actually smiled.

The contrast between those two fabrics is so subtle that the flowers almost breathe on the fabric, and the low-volume petals keep it from feeling busy. I’ve already got it pinned up in my sewing room, and it’s making me want to start the quilt tonight.
