I was a bit skeptical about needing a special ruler for Dresden plates, but the precision of the 15-degree angles makes sewing those 24 triangles into a perfect circle incredibly satisfying.

The 15-degree angle makes the math stupid easy—I just sewed 12 of them into a half-circle fan and it lined up perfectly at 18 inches. The markings are crisp and the ruler grips the fabric without slipping, which is a huge help when I'm rotary cutting all those triangles.

The 15-degree markings make it so easy to plan out a Dresden plate without doing math. It’s accurate and cuts cleanly, though I wish the grip dots were a bit stickier for slippery fabrics. Still, my first 18-inch circle came together perfectly.
