Finally, a lining that doesn't shift or bunch up inside my oven mitts. That reflective layer really does seem to block the heat, and the polyester fibers feel dense but not stiff.

I make every potholder and casserole cover with this lining now, and my hands have never felt safer pulling hot dishes from the oven. The needle-punched polyester fibers are thick enough that the heat barely gets through, even on a steaming casserole.

The reflective layer really shows when I’m pulling a hot casserole dish out—my mitts stay cool even after a few minutes of holding. This lining is also surprisingly soft to the touch, which makes sewing it into my own projects feel less like wrestling with stiff fabric.
