I've made both the two-toned and Modern versions of this quilt, and the fat quarter layout works perfectly without fabric direction worries. The pattern's instructions for managing the Fair Isle color changes are incredibly beginner-friendly.

The Fair Isle chart is laid out so clearly that I finished the two-tone top in a weekend, and the instructions made switching between colors feel effortless. It's my third pattern from this designer and definitely the most satisfying one to watch come together.

I used fat quarters for the "Modern" version and loved how the non-directional fabric made the color placement so easy. The pattern’s instructions are clear enough that even a novice quilter like me can follow along without stress.
