I was pleasantly surprised by how well the ground walnut shells hold a pin—they’re firm yet give just enough when I push a needle in. The lavender scent is a nice bonus, but I wish it were a bit stronger to really fill the room.

I’ve been using these walnut shells in my pincushion for a week, and they hold pins securely without shifting. The lavender scent is noticeable but not overpowering, which is perfect for my sewing desk. The bag’s 2-cup volume was exactly enough to fill my medium cushion.
