The spiral motif in the pattern is so clever—it reads beautifully on the finished quilt top and was easy to follow even for a beginner like me. I made the lap size with fat quarters and loved that I didn’t need any special tools, just my usual sewing kit.

I usually buy yardage for my projects, but this pattern's fat-quarter friendly layout made it easy to use up my stash, and the spiral in Gold Medal Park is a fun nod to Minneapolis. The queen size instructions were clear enough that I didn’t need any special tools, which was a relief.
