The batik dyeing gives this rust swirl a depth you just don't get with plain prints—the colors shift as you turn it in the light. It's cut beautifully on the grain and pressed up like a dream for my latest quilt top.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the batik's subtle swirl pattern works with my other quilting fabrics. The rust shade has a nice depth that makes it stand out without being overpowering.

The rust color is deeper and richer in person, and the swirl pattern has a nice organic flow that works great for a quilt backing. I used it for a table runner and the batik feel adds just the right amount of texture without being stiff.
