NORTHCOTT - Dinosaurus by Banyan Batiks - 鱗片 - K50148 - #282-BT

I was immediately drawn to how the brown scales catch the light just enough to give a subtle reptilian depth. It adds a wonderful organic texture that blends beautifully with more solid fabrics.

The scale texture feels surprisingly dimensional even before quilting, and the rich brown has this nice depth that should hide dirt well. I've already used a fat quarter for a dino-themed baby quilt and the pattern reads subtle from a distance but gets that reptilian vibe up close.

The brown scale pattern on this fabric is even richer in person, and it cuts beautifully without fraying. I'm already planning a second quilt with it.
