I set the blocks on point just like the description suggests and the fan shapes really pop against the darker background. The quilted texture adds a nice weight that lays flat on my dining table without needing constant adjustment.

The fans sit perfectly on point once you get the hang of it, and the finished tablerunner really does catch the eye. I've made it twice now, once as a quilt and once as a runner, and the pattern is clear enough for both. The delicate points are my favorite part, they look so elegant on my dining tab

The instructions for setting the fans "on point" are surprisingly clear, even for a beginner quilter like me. The fabric edges are printed just right, making it simple to get precise points without any fuss.
