Riley Blake - Expressions Batiks Backyard Birds 胖四分之一布組 21片

The birds are so crisp and detailed, even up close—I keep finding new little feathers in the batik pattern every time I look. That bundle gives me plenty of yardage to mix the soft purples with the greens for a proper quilt backing.

The colors in this collection are exactly what I was hoping for—that soft purple and green combo is even prettier in person. I already have a quilt top laid out with the bird prints as my focal points.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the purples and pinks blend together in these fat quarters. The bird motifs are nicely detailed without being too busy, perfect for a lap quilt I'm piecing.
