Riley Blake - Grasscloth Cottons by Heather Peterson - 胭脂

I’ve been looking for a bold red with a soft hand that doesn’t fray too much, and this one’s perfect. The rouge shade is exactly what I needed for the binding, and it presses crisp without stretching.

The color is a rich, deep red that really pops against the neutral tones in my stash. It feels smooth to the touch but has that nice, slight texture from the weave. I’m already planning my next project with it.

The weave gives it that subtle texture you can actually feel while quilting, and the rouge shade is rich without being overpowering. I’ve already cut into it for a border and it pressed up beautifully.
