I love how the block-based design makes this pattern feel approachable even for an advanced beginner like me. The fat quarter scrappy approach is such a great way to use up my stash without feeling overwhelmed.

The cutting diagrams for the scrappy fat quarter version are laid out so clearly that I finished my first block in under an hour. At 65.5" x 71", it’s a generous throw size that doesn’t feel overwhelming for an advanced beginner like me.

I was worried the fat quarter scrappy version would look chaotic, but the block layout instructions made it surprisingly easy to organize. My seams lined up perfectly on the first try, and at 65.5 by 71 inches, it’s a great throw size.
