The cutting diagrams for the Star Fruit blocks are laid out so clearly that I had my first one pieced in under an hour. Jocelyn’s design makes the most of every fabric scrap, and the finished top looks way more complex than the actual sewing time.

The diagonal seam lines in this pattern come together surprisingly cleanly, saving me a lot of frustration. I used fat quarters from my stash and they worked perfectly with the instructions. This will be a go-to pattern for quick gifts.

For a first-time quilter, the cutting charts and step-by-step photos in this pattern made the whole process feel manageable. I finished the top in about two weekends and the star points lined up perfectly.
