I was looking for a bag that could switch between a backpack and shoulder carry, and this sling pattern does exactly that without looking bulky. The 8-inch width holds my tablet and a water bottle snugly, and the strap is comfortable even after a few hours.

The 12-inch height is perfect for holding my tablet and a small water bottle at the same time. I've been using it as a chest pack for hiking and the strap adjustment is surprisingly easy to manage one-handed.
