I was able to make the queen-size version using two jelly rolls just like it says, and the blocks came together really cleanly. The instructions for the Layer Cake crib size were just as clear.

I normally avoid anything with too many pieces, but the Layer Cake directions for the Crib/Throw size were surprisingly clear—cut and sew went faster than I expected. The finished 48" by 55" top has that modern twisting look without any tricky Y-seams.

The layout for the queen size from two Jelly Rolls plus those extra strips is so clever, I had to read it twice just to admire it. The 48" x 55" crib throw came together perfectly for a baby gift, and the twisting blocks look way more complex than they actually are to piece.
