I was a little nervous about tackling Ribbon Stars as a beginner, but the clear pattern steps made them come together smoothly. The wide unpieced rows really let my favorite large-scale floral fabric shine without cutting it up too much.

The Ribbon Star blocks are such a nice touch against those wide unpieced rows—it really lets your fabric do the talking without feeling like you're wrestling with tiny pieces. I've got a couple of medium-scale prints I've been hoarding, and this pattern shows them off beautifully.

I’m a confident beginner, and the wide unpieced rows made piecing this quilt together so much faster than I expected. The Ribbon Star blocks really anchor the whole design without being overly complicated to sew.
